Award
Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave 2025
- Award: Neighborhood Fave 2025
- Awarded by: Nextdoor
- Year: 2025
We carry the Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave 2025 badge. You will also see it near the top of our home page and on our roof replacement and other service pages.
Nextdoor calls it a Neighborhood Fave, and 2025 is the year on ours. It shows up on the home page and on the roof replacement, roof repair and gutter replacement pages, in the same spot each time rather than wherever it happens to fit that day's layout. We're not going to stretch what it is. It's one badge from one platform, and we'd rather you look at the actual reviews behind it than take a badge's word for how a job went. That's also why this page stays short on purpose. Plenty of roofing sites stack badges, a manufacturer logo and a "top rated" graphic that nobody outside the company issued. We list one real thing with a name and a year on it instead.
The bar at the top of every page on this site links straight to our Google reviews rather than to a page we control, on purpose. Anyone can put a number on their own website. Fewer companies point you to the source where that number actually lives and where anyone can go add to it, good or bad. We'd rather you check it there than take our word for the badge below it, and reading a handful of the lower-starred reviews on any roofer's profile, when there are any, tells you more than the average by itself.
Rating
Our Google rating
A rating is a different thing from an award, so it gets its own line here. Homeowners have rated us 5.0 on Google, and our customer reviews page carries those reviews word for word. For who we are and how we work, see about Charlotte Premier Roofing.
A rating is an average, and a few of the jobs behind ours say more than the number does. Kevin Storms's roof took hail damage; his review describes Matthew coordinating with the insurance company and putting together a detailed photo report, and the insurer agreeing to replace the whole roof at no cost to him. Andy Carson's review tells a similar story from a different angle, a storm that had already come and gone before anyone noticed the damage, a drone out of the truck to find it. Not every review is an insurance claim. Rosebud Turner asked for a general inspection after a rough stretch of weather and got told the roof was in good shape, aside from a handful of rusty nails that got replaced at no charge. Sarah Paterson put her project on hold for a while and wrote that nobody pressured her to move faster than she wanted to.
Some of what turns up in reviews wouldn't fit on an awards page anywhere else, and that's fine by us. rmd terrio's review describes a drainage complaint that turned out to be debris on the gutter guards, cleared instead of sold as a repair job. Judy Hillhouse mentions shingle choices and a full gutter swap done alongside the roof. None of that is award material, but it's the same owner and the same crew that show up throughout the reviews on this site. The range runs from free repairs to insurance-funded full replacements, and the reviews above describe both ends of it. Patti Anderson's review is closer to the small end, a roof inspection where Matthew walked her through good shingles versus worn ones with pictures in hand and told her the roof was fine. Angel Williams needed an emergency tarp put up late at night. Read the rest on our customer reviews page, or search Charlotte Premier Roofing on Google directly if you'd rather see them there, unedited.
Worth Knowing
What is not on this list
Owens Corning Duration shingles are the product we install on roof replacements, and the Owens Corning logo on our pages stands for that product. We have applied for accreditation with the Better Business Bureau, and our profile has not been issued yet. Neither one is an award, so neither is listed above.
We get asked about BBB accreditation often enough to answer it here instead of leaving it to the fine print. We applied, and as of our last check the profile had not been issued yet. That means no "Accredited" seal on this site until it's real, and if you search bbb.org and come up empty, that's consistent with where the application stands rather than anything we're hiding.
The Owens Corning logo on our pages marks the shingle line we install, not a certification we hold. If you're used to seeing a "Preferred Contractor" badge or something similar on roofing sites, we don't carry one of those right now, and we're not going to leave the logo looking like more than it is.
Same honesty on a state license. North Carolina requires a general contractor's license through the NCLBGC for projects of $40,000 and up. Most residential roofing jobs, including the ones described in our reviews, run well under that number, so no state roofing license applies to work this size here. What we can put in front of you instead: the general liability and workers' compensation coverage we carry, a written 5-year workmanship warranty, and a free photo inspection before anyone signs anything. Ask any roofer for the same, regardless of what's on their wall.
We also publish our own research rather than wait around for someone else to rank us. Our list of the best roofers in Charlotte, the best roofers in Weddington and the best roofers in Matthews reads Google's own results for each market and orders every 5.0-rated company by review count, us included, wherever that lands us. We put that list together ourselves, dated and sourced from Google's own results, and we say so on each page. If an outside list or program does recognize us again, it will show up here with the same details as the Nextdoor badge above: who gave it, when, and where you can go check.
You might also expect to see a "Google Guaranteed" badge on a roofing site, since a lot of home service companies run that program. We aren't publishing one here. We can't independently verify our own standing on it the way we can a Google rating or a badge like the one above, and this page only lists what we can back up with a name and a source behind it, not what shows up in a sales pitch.
