Charlotte Roofers Compared
10 Best Roofers in Charlotte, NC
We at Charlotte Premier Roofing checked Google for every roofing company in Charlotte that held a 5.0 rating and listed them in order of how many people had reviewed them. Numbers as Google showed them, nothing rounded. We at Charlotte Premier Roofing are one of the ten below, placed on Google’s own review counts.
Search for a roofer in Charlotte and Google hands you about twenty companies in one list. Most of them are good. Almost all of them sit at 4.6 or higher, which tells you the Charlotte market is competitive and that a rating on its own will not separate them for you. So we did the sorting a different way. We took the list Google returns for a roofing search in Charlotte, kept only the companies holding a perfect 5.0, and put them in order of how many homeowners had actually reviewed them. A 5.0 across 850 reviews and a 5.0 across 50 are different things, and the order below reflects that.
We are Charlotte Premier Roofing, and yes, we are on this list. We did not put ourselves at the top. We sit where the review count puts us, and we have said so plainly next to our own entry. If you are choosing between two or three names here, the second half of this page covers what to ask each of them before you sign anything, because a rating tells you how the last job went and not how yours will.
Method
How this list of Charlotte roofers was built
On 2026-09-18 we ran a Google search for roofing companies in Charlotte, NC and read the local results list, the same one you see under the map. We left out the two sponsored rows, since those are paid placements and not ratings. Of the twenty companies Google listed, nine held a 5.0 rating. We added ourselves, since our rating is also a 5.0 and our base in Weddington keeps us just outside the Charlotte-centred list, and ordered all ten by review count. Years in business are shown exactly as Google displays them on each listing.
Ratings move. A company at 5.0 today can be at 4.9 next month after one bad week, and a company we left off could climb on. We will re-read the list and update this page, and the date at the top of the list is the date the numbers were true. We keep the same kind of list for the best roofing companies in Weddington and the best roofing companies in Matthews.

That is us. We are a smaller, owner-run company based in Weddington, on the south side of the Charlotte area, working within about 25 miles of it. Our review count is lower than the companies above us because we are younger and we run fewer crews. What the reviews say is consistent: the owner comes out in person and photographs the roof. We install Owens Corning Duration shingles on replacements and back our workmanship with a 5-year written warranty. Read the reviews yourself before you take our word for it.

Before You Hire
How to compare any two Charlotte roofers on this list
Who does the inspection
Ask who does the inspection and whether you get the photos. A roofer who photographs your roof and your attic, then shows you the pictures, has given you evidence you can hand to a second roofer for comparison. One who quotes from the driveway has given you a number.
A written estimate with the materials named
Ask for the estimate in writing with the materials named. The shingle line, the underlayment, the ice-and-water membrane at the valleys, the drip edge, the pipe boots and the flashing should all be on the page. Two estimates that name the same materials are comparable. Two that do not are not.
A written workmanship warranty
Ask about the workmanship warranty and get it in writing. The shingle manufacturer covers the shingle. The roofer covers the installation, and that is the part that leaks. The length of that warranty and whether it is written down tells you how long the company expects to be answering the phone.
A certificate of insurance
Ask for the certificate of insurance. Any roofer on this list should be able to send one. If a crew member is hurt on your roof and the company is not covered, the claim can land on your homeowner's policy.
The most recent reviews
Then read the most recent reviews, not the average. The average is years of history. The last ten reviews are the crew and the office you would actually be dealing with this month.
Independent recognition
Ask whether a roofer has been recognized by anyone besides their own marketing. A membership badge you can buy is not the same as an award with a name, a year and a source attached. We hold the Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave 2025 badge and list where it came from on our awards page, rather than pasting a logo on the home page and hoping nobody checks.
What's actually on the table
Financing terms and dollar-off offers change, so ask what is live the day you call instead of trusting a banner that has sat on a website for a year. We currently have $1,000 off a full roof replacement, a free photo roof and attic inspection with no obligation, and financing available. Ask for the current terms when you book, we would rather tell you than have you guess.
The shingle line they actually stock
A roofer who can describe one shingle line from memory, color options included, has probably installed a few hundred squares of it. One who says they can get you anything from the catalog is quoting, not installing. We run Owens Corning Duration shingles and can talk color choice against your brick or siding on the phone before anyone comes out.
